When you want to feel more balanced:

  1. Cover your right nostril with your thumb, and inhale through your left nostril.
  2. Move your thumb to cover your left nostril, and exhale through your right nostril.
  3. Keep your thumb on your left nostril, and inhale through your right nostril.
  4. Move your thumb back to your right nostril, and exhale through your left nostril.
